Hello again!
Well... I am back after a long time away from blogging, I moved and it has taken a while to settle in, oh boy! That doesn't mean that I have not been indulging my crafting addition, no, but it just meant that I couldn't find a moment to post anything.
Today that changes! I will be uploading many of the projects I made over the last few months and also listing some tutorials as I go along. I am so excited to be back and in honor of that here is my freebie of the day...
cheers!

Placemat Tutorial
Recently I lucked out and found this beautiful yard of linen and a recycling center. I just loved the fabric and thought that it would make lovely placemats.
Here is what I came up with:
You wouldn't believe how easy this was to make...
First: Remember preparation is 80% of the finished product... so even if you are like me, an instant gratifier, force yourself to take your time and think twice, cut once.
If you have a stencil you like then half your work is done but if you want to print or design your own, do so and print. You can either use freezer paper, there are many wonderful tutorials to show you how or transfer paper.
Once your print, cut out your design carefully working from the inside out. Then lay your stencil on the fabric and paint...

Carefully remove stencil and allow to dry. |
